Hi all,
It's late & I'm exhausted but I have 3 quick updates...
1. I got into Columbia Teachers College too! YAY! Now, I have to just decide... :-)
2. I presented to a group of students involved in MOUSE (http://www.mouse.org/) today and observed their presentations on creating an inventory system using LAMP and creating a wikispace around OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) - http://www.laptop.org/.
It was very enlightening. Also, spent time teaching kids about technology at "Bring your child to work" day.
3. I'm going to podcampNYC tomorrow. We are a sponsor but I'm hoping to sit in on several sessions in the Education 2.0 track...
PodCamp NYC
Ok, that's it for now... Goodnight.

Educational Technology Program
I just got accepted into a Master's program in Educational Technology at Pace University! My first acceptance!!! Now, just waiting on Columbia Teachers College. I'm so excited! At least I know I have at least one option. I applied for Fall but would love to start taking at least one class this summer.
Does anyone have any advice on how to decide between programs? I thought about requesting to sit in on a class to help decide. Was anyone successful in doing this when you got your acceptances?
Also, I would love to shadow any local ETS's to get a feel for what you are already doing. Please let me know if you live/work near NYC or Long Island.
So happy. Great start to the weekend. Going to see Young Frankenstein on Broadway tomorrow. Sunday I'm dedicating to research.

Classrooms of the Future
This Mixed Reality teaching environment could very well be the wave of the future. Imagine an environment where humans and avatars intermingle as students. They learn from the same instructor, at the same time, from all over the world. They participate at the same time in the same "classroom" and they collaborate on projects both real-time and at "home". This joint project between the University of Essex and Sun Microsystems demonstrates what is possible for the future classroom.
